The prior pantry and refrigerator wall left much to be desired. An odd angle did not allow for a well sized pantry and the refrigerator was hidden away in an alcove. To remedy this situation, we removed the closeted pantry to help open up the angled wall and relocated the refrigerator to the opposite wall. A coffee bar and entertainment cupboard are put in its place. This strategy also allows us to place a larger island with seating in the kitchen area.
The window wall receives a complete makeover with a new three bay window and extended countertop space. The refrigerator is now in the previous dining room along with more countertop space, a wall oven, warming drawer and microwave.
The new kitchen island is dressed up with custom decor panels and a seamless quartz countertop. We love the two tall pull outs on the island that are perfect for storing cookie sheets or holding spices. The induction cooktop is placed at the island with a downdraft.
