Now is the time to consider replacing your water heater, especially if it is nearing 10 years old.  There is speculation in the industry that prices will raise considerably based on the required production of new units to meet these standards.  Current inventory can be sold beyond April 16, 2015 however, there is no guarantee that current stock will be available near and after that time.
